Is it any wonder....

I wonder why I feel like there's never enough hours in the day - with work, the monkeys, trying to move my life forward in positive ways, seeing my friends, making my little crafty things and now taking on responsibility for running the school lottery! Honestly I think I'm mental!!! Oh well at least I can say I'm never bored - maybe on the edge of nervous exhaustion but never bored :-)

Fun fun fun

Easter holidays have started 2 weeks of relaxing and enjoying ourselves ...... er what I mean is 2 weeks of trying to maintain peace and keep everyone entertained.
Pink monkey today went into nursery so it was just me and Blue. I'd booked us into tubing at the Chill Factore - he was the smallest and I was definately the biggest (by about 20 years) it was so much fun, Blue is definately fearless and I loved it as much as him (luckily they ignored my pleas to go slow - yes I'm turning into my mum - and span me round as much as the younger ones). Then it was off to Nandos for lunch - apparently I'm in the minority when I say I just don't get it - it's chicken and that's it.... I'm obviously not down with the kids. After a recharge it was across the road to Crazy Golf - not sure if my 4yr old should be trusted swinging round a golf club but he's not got bad aim.
On the way home got some good news - but that can wait as I don't want to tempt fate.
Not sure who's more tired tonight - early night for everyone.

Slow start to the year

Last year my resolution was to blog for the entire year and I did it I have some great memories of 2012 to look back on, this year I've been a bit slower off the mark but am going to try and catch up now. So here is my quick list of favourite things of 2013 so far (in no particular order)
1. Spending my first Mothers Day in 3 years with the monkeys (and spending it with my mum too)
2. Taking blue monkey on the City stadium tour
3. Spa night away with the girls
4. Watching pink monkey playing with her dolls and packing for her "pretend" holidays
5. Finally believing that I will move house this year (although that could still go wrong)
6. Steve's 40 birthday party (glad he's miles older than me!)
7. The amazing sledging snow day
8. Being wined and dined
9. Realising that by the end of this year there are going to be a few more babies in my life (and no none of them are mine - cuddles then hand them back - perfect)
9. Baking and making - watching the monkeys with all my craft things making and blue monkey loving the fact he has his own craft stash too.
10. Pink monkey and I stopping for a teacake in Morrisons cafe after our weekly shop - and finally getting my mum in the cafe on my Dads birthday (he'd have laughed).
11. Finally watching Les Miserables

I need to get back into recording our lives - these are the things that make us all happy.
